Community is important to us, and supporting events that enrich the neighborhoods where we live and work is one way we give back. To learn more about what Windermere is doing in your community, please contact your agent.

Here is a list of annual events Windermere sponsors:

All Year Long

The Windermere Mukilteo office has agents that volunteer for the Mukilteo Food Bank all year long; often multiple times per week. The agents who regularly volunteer for the food bank are Jim and Kristi Rosenberger and Mike Miller.

Seattle: University of Washington Basketball
In January, the Windermere Foundation and the YMCA participate in the annual Husky Hoops free-throw fundraiser. For every hoop a “Y” kid makes, a $100 donation is made to the “Windermere Kids at the Y” scholarship fund.

Windermere Mukilteo supports the Mukilteo Kiwanis Club by donating money to help them put on their annual ‘Pancake Breakfast’. This year, the Kiwanis served over 500 meals. The money raised will be donated back to the community in the form of scholarships and other programs for local youth. The Mukilteo Kiwanis Club is a terrific organization and we are proud to support them.

Seattle: University of Washington Annual Windermere Cup Regatta
The races are held as part of the celebration of Seattle's Opening Day of Boating Season and are followed by the Seattle Yacht Club's Opening Day Boat Parade. More than 700 rowers compete in this prestigious international event, which culminates with the women's and men's Windermere Cup races.

Eastern Washington/Idaho: Windermere Marathon & Half-Marathon
Offices sponsor this scenic point-to-point Marathon on the Centennial Trail from Post Falls, Idaho to Riverfront Park in downtown Spokane, as well as an entire weekend of fitness activities;

Portland, Oregon: Parade of Roses, Portland Rose Festival

Windermere Community Service Day (third Friday in June)

Windermere Mukilteo:

On this day, your Windermere Mukilteo agents volunteer their time by work doing various projects withiin our community. Whether we are raising food and money for a local organziation, helping individuals in need, or picking up litter at the Lighhouse Park...or more, our agents get involved! This nationally recognized volunteer event sees all our Pacific Northwest offices close for a day of community service. Examples of projects include cleaning, landscaping, and painting senior citizens centers, facilities for physically and mentally challenged children and adults, public parks and schools, low income housing, and emergency shelters.

Friday June 15th 2012, Community Service Day:

Project description: All Windermere Mukilteo Brokers stood in-front of 2 local grocery stores and asked for donations of food and money for the Food Bank. As well, a number of our brokers were out in the community in the days prior to CSD talking to neighbors and leaving donation food bags at the front door.

The brokers of Windermere Mukilteo raised over 2000 pounds of food and just over $1000 in cash from our generous community! Thank you!!!

Each year that we've done this, we have received amazing donations from the community and from our brokers!

Organizations: The Mukilteo Food Bank

We cheer the parade partcipants on and have a great time. Our agents also donate their time at many of the fun events during this annual 3-day festival!

This year, we are also co-sponsoring The Fudge-A-Muk Fudge Carving Contest with The Mukilteo Chocolate Company. It will be a lot of fun. Come see over 75 people carve fudge and have a great time!

Each September, the Windermere Mukilteo agents, along with other Realtor offices in Snohomish County, raise food and money for those in our area that are in need. Whatever we collect goes directly to benefit the Mukilteo Food Bank. Out of all of the Realtor offices in Snohomish County, our office has placed as high as 2nd and 3rd in the last few years in various categories including: 'most pounds per agent' and 'total pounds collected'. We are very proud of how our agents get involved in our community.

Offices on Whidbey Island host dancing and live music to raise funds to support charities that benefit their local community through the Windermere Foundation.

Federal Way, Washington: Oktoberfest Foundation Fundraiser
Offices from Burien, Federal Way, Renton South, Kent, West Campus, Maple Valley, and Renton host an annual fundraising event at the Fairwood Country Club in Renton to benefit the Windermere Foundation and support their local partner nonprofit organizations.

Each year, our Mukilteo agents donate their own money and time to buy Holiday presents and food at least two families that would not otherwise have significant presents or food on Christmas Day without our help. To do this, we contact leaders at several Mukilteo schools in November to have them recommend familes that are having tough times. We never know the families' names; all we know is the number of people in each family, their genders and ages, and their clothes sizes.  From there, our team has a 'shopping day' and goes to local retailers to make the holidays happen for the families. All of the agents have a great time shopping. Then, several days later, the entire office of agents wraps the gifts and delivers the gifts back to the 'school contact' for eventual delivery to the families. We often get notes back from the familes who are overjoyed. The notes make us cry; it is so wonderful to help the families.
